According to the article of the CBC today, Quebec will eliminate 18,000 untreated immigration files. The Minister of Immigration of Quebec said that “Subject to one exception, the bill terminates any application made to the Minister under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (PRTQ) before August 2, 2018, for which it has not yet made a decision to select, refuse or reject at the time of the introduction of the bill, “. The legislation states that Quebec will reimburse the fees payable by the applicant, without interest, and that “no damages or compensation in connection with such an application may be claimed from the Government”.
