Family Reunification

The Canadian government is very generous in the variety of ways it offers to its citizens to reunite with their family members who live abroad. Family reunification is possible under Family Class Sponsorship, Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds, or through Provincial Nomination of some provinces that offer family support.

The eligible family members in sponsorship are:

  • the sponsor’s spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner;
  • parents and grandparents;
  • a dependent child (under the age of 22 and single) of the sponsored person;
  • an adopted child;
  • orphaned brothers, sisters, nieces, or grandchildren under the age of 22 and who are not married or living in a common-law relationship;
  • “last remaining family member”.

If you would like to reunite with your family member or for individual assessment of your situation, please book a consultation.
